Favorite Eye Primer

Kat Von D High Voltage Eye Primer in Skin.  This is my ultimate go to eye primer.  It isn't oily or greasy at all.  Goes on very creamy and a little goes a long way.  Helps my eye shadow pop and stay put all day without creasing.  I originally got a sample of this from Sephora and immediately bought the full size version.  Available through Sephora for $15.

Sephora Birthday Gift

This year the Sephora Birthday Gift for Beauty Insiders is Philosophy's Shampoo, Bubble Bath, Shower Gel in Vanilla Cupcake.  Love this.  It's the 6 oz size.  They send a coupon in the mail for you to use 2 weeks before or after your birthday or you can add it online.  I just got mine today.  (Birthday is Saturday.)  Smells delicious.

Wordless Wednesday - So glad this is almost over.

40 Bags In 40 Days

So, I'm not Catholic or doing anything for Lent, but I love this idea.  40 Bags In 40 Days is getting rid of clutter in your home.  Get rid of 40 bags, you choose which size, in the 40 days of Lent.  I'm totally doing this.  My house desperately needs it right now.

Beauty Secrets

Baby Powder.  This one is well known by now.  Use a powder brush to brush small amounts of baby powder on the roots of your hair and voila, instant dry shampoo.  It helps reduce the oil and smells good as well.  Just don't dump a ton right on top of your hair or you'll have the powdered wig look.

Lansinoh Nipple Cream.  I learned this trick from McMommy, it works as a great lip balm.  Makes lips super smooth and shiny.

Monistat Chafing Relief Powder-Gel. This is making a buzz lately.  It works as a great primer under makeup.  Comes out of the tube like a gel and glides on to a powdery finish to keep shine at bay all day.

Static Guard.  Spray onto your hair brush to help keep staticy hair in place.

Dryer Sheets.  Rub them onto your brush, hair and clothes to keep static under control.  One of my fave tips since I get such staticy hair in the Winter.  Pro, it smells awesome.

Neosporin.  It works wonders for severly chapped/cracked lips in the Winter.

What's your favorite beauty secret?

Oscars 2011

Anne Hathaway in Valentino. She looks gorgeous and very Hollywood "Oscar" ready.  My Best Dressed Pick.  I actually loved every outfit she wore during the night.

Camila Alves in Kaufman Franco. Very classic and beautiful.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Calvin Klein. Love this on her. Maybe more Grammy-worthy, but she looks amazing with the metallic dress and slick straight hair.

Haille Steinfeld in Marchesa.  She looks so young and cute just like a 14 year old should.

Halle Berry in Marchesa.

Jennifer Lawrence in Calvin Klein. Very pretty, maybe not quite glam enough for the Oscars, but a definite winner.

Jennifer Hudson in Versace. Looking svelte and red carpet ready.  Too much boobage? Ehh, debatable, but still stunning.

My Worst Dressed Pick:

Scarlett Johansson in Dolce & Gabbana.  Too dark, too trashy looking, too dark make-up and too messy hair for the Oscars.
